Life Island is an interactive 3D portfolio. It is not an advertising product: there are no advertising cookies, no ad networks, and nothing here is sold or shared with data brokers. This page describes plainly what it stores and what leaves your device.
What is stored

Location and weather (off by default)
The island can mirror your real local weather. This is off unless you turn it on. Until you do, the island uses your device's clock for day and night — that never leaves your device — and a default clear sky.
If you switch live weather on, one of the following happens:
- Your browser asks permission for your precise location. If you allow it, those coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo for the forecast and to BigDataCloud to turn them into a place name.
- If you decline or it is unavailable, your IP address is sent to ipapi.co for an approximate city-level location, which is then used for the forecast.
Coordinates are used for that request and are not stored on our side. You can switch live weather back off at any time from the weather badge.
Third parties
- Google Firebase — anonymous sign-in, saved progress, live presence
- Vercel — hosting, and privacy-friendly, cookieless visit counts (no cross-site tracking)
- Google Fonts — the two display fonts
- Open-Meteo, BigDataCloud, ipapi.co — only if you enable live weather
Other visitors can see
Your display name, your character's appearance, and where you are on the island — while you are online. Please do not type anything into the name field you would not want a stranger to read. Names are filtered for offensive content and may be reset.
Voice & chat
- Voice & chat: Voice is opt-in and push-to-talk — your microphone is only active while you hold the talk button, shown by an on-screen indicator. Messages and voice clips are shared with other players currently on the island and are shown to you based on how near they are; they are ephemeral — not stored or logged, and voice clips are deleted shortly after delivery.
Clearing your data
Clearing your browser's site data for this domain erases your name, progress, settings and anonymous ID. There is no account to delete. To have anything else removed, email admin@digiscalability.com.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
